As a group YorkiFriends decided Christmas 2002 to donate to a needy yorkie organization.  "Emmysmom" wrote a lovely poem for the occasion.  Our first donation went to United Yorkie Rescue and today we are still having our annual end of year auction to help pet rescues. Every penny we collect is given out to others in need.

Judy suggested we keep jars on our kitchen counters to collect all that odd change that is in our pockets at the end of the day.  When it's time for the auction or donation, you already have it.  Judy named it Jars of Love and that's what we call our occasional donation projects.

No one is compelled to donate or participate in the auction at any time.  It is completely voluntary and whether you give or not will never be known by any other members unless you say so yourself.  This is something we all do together from our hearts because we love our yorkie breed so much and sympathize with the little babies who have been rescued or don't have it as good as our own.

Please read our Jars of Love Poem that we include in all our Jars of Love donation cards.

It was penned by Lynn, Emmy's Mom. The cover picture is  Debbie's Mom's darling yorkie Cheerio !
